  • Issue#1088026: Asus X555LA-SI305041: Why isn't my usb mouse being recognized with my laptop

So about a few months ago, i saved up some money to buy a gaming mouse since i play a lot of cs go, rocket league and FM16. The minute before the incident happened, the mouse was working perfectly fine on my sisters laptop, (I use her laptop sometimes because i may or may not have broken the screen so i have to use a 1080 monitor :P) the next thing is i take it out of my sisters laptop, go upstairs and put it in my one, but it doesn't work. I take it out and put it in again, The mouse lights up for a millisecond then turns off again. It's the day after this and i tried it again but the same thing happens Does anyone have any helping answers for this as i am panicking about this Also my laptop is an ASUS X555L

  • Issue#4000: Lenovo - W520 - Mouse and trackpad stopped working. No access to laptop.

Responded to KAV program prompt, on January 22, to upgrade to KAV 2016. Message stated update will be automatic, so continued my business. Earlier this evening, two days later, I realized KAV was not running. Attempted a manual start, but no response. Attempted to uninstall KAV, but received popup stating "update in progress" or something similar and was prompted to reboot. Rebooted. Same problem, same message. Went to Add/Remove Programs and ditscovered there were TWO versions of KAV installed: 2015 and 2016. Downloaded the KAV program removal tool and the bar finally froze. Waited almost 45 minutes and finally rebooted again. After the reboot, both my mouse and touchpad on my main laptop, completely stopped working and since the laptop is password protected, cannot gain access to the laptop at all. I have NEVER had a problem with either the mouse or touchpad. I cannot get into the laptop to upload screenshots of errors and do not have a clue on how to lo

  • Issue#129675: Asus - My laptop's backlight is not working?

I was having a hard time seeing the keys and I noticed the backlights were off. I have no reasoning for whythis might've happened. It's a ASUS GL551JW-DS71 Laptop, and I'm running windows 10. It's about two months old now. I have downloaded and installed the latest APK package available at the asus website. I have restarted the laptop and sill not working. On restart the backlights do come on be then turn off, I keep pressing the Fn + backlight brighten key (F4) and it's just not working. It's completely shut off and I have no clue why. Can anyone lend a hand? perhaps give me some insight on what might've happened? Also I should note I haven't bumped, scratched, or dropped it, even a tiny bit since I've bought it. Hellbound25

  • Issue#230244: Asus Laptop: Why won't my mouse connect? Is my USB port broken?

My mouse won't connect to my laptop. usually when I connect it, it turns on and shows a red light under it but now it turns on for a few seconds then turns off. Usually whenever I plug it in, the laptop makes a sound whenever there's a USB plugged in and I can move my mouse pointer anywhere, now it still makes the sound but I cannot move my mouse pointer. I tried every single USB port and it still doesn't work, this is driving me crazy. It also doesn't read my USB whenever I tried to transfer files to it, I plug it in but it doesn't read it It always say "USB not recognized" ⟐ Answer accepted March 5, 2016 at 8:32 pm -0700

  • Issue#446132: Asus - Steelseries Mouse and Keyboard, need to re-plug to get them working.

Hello! First post and happy to be part of the famous ROG community I have a Steelseries Mouse (Wireless Sensei) and keyboard (Apex M800). I have to re-plug them sometime to get them to work. It is usually the keyboard that needs to be re-plugged but it happens with the mouse as well. I have contacted Steelseries and they just want to RMA the keyboard and mouse, they do not want to find any solutions with this problem. I borrowed them to a friend where they worked without a single problem on his computer. thats why I hope I can get some help from ROG as the problem can be something with the motherboard. I have changed the settings in Device Manager and ticked of all ''Let the computer turn this of..'' on all USB-Devices linked to the keyboard and mouse. Any solutions or ideas I can try out?
